Gang rape case: No attempt will be made to save anyone - CM Siddaramaiah
CM Siddaramaiah said that, we will try to punish whoever takes the law into their hands. Does not try to protect anyone. The accused have been arrested in the gang rape case and the investigation is on. No one in our government is allowed to take the law into their hands. We will take action as per law.
Those in SIT are also policemen. The case is being investigated and will be decided after the preliminary report is received. The home minister visited when a woman was raped in Belgaum district. I myself instructed to visit. There was no home minister here. Former Union Minister Shivanna has visited. If one part is to visit the victim and console them, another part is to take legal action. We have done both.
Reacting to the use of singular language about him, he said, "Ananthakumar Hegde has defended the use of singular language for a person holding the post of Chief Minister. Hegde has been missing till today. He has appeared as the elections are near. He has made a statement. As an MP, as a former minister, has he done anything for the constituency? Have you heard the problem of the poor till today? Culture means humanity. Humanity first. It should be", said CM Siddaramaiah.
